about
Music inspired by the mysterious night. The song tries to capture the magic of nighttime. Some of the scenery in The LOTR/Hobbit movies was also a big inspiration:
Lothlorien, with it's blue glow of the moon illuminating the forest coupled with the mystical elvish chants blew me away. A similar sense I got with Thorin's map scene in Rivendell in ''An Unexpected Journey''. The Rivendell architecture and landscapes coupled with the nighttime ambience made for such a magical experience.
This all inspired me to make Everdream. A song that contains dark and light parts. The male voices in the beginning I wanted to sound like low rumble coming from inside the depths of the mountains, partly inspired by LOTR's dwarven themes.
The Beyond Skyrim composers have done a fascinating job at trying to follow in Soule's footsteps while also tapping into a side of Tamriel not seen in previous entries: a world defeated that is clinging to past pride. It's most notable in perhaps the anthem of Beyond Skyrim which is Daniel Ran's "Of Storms and Half light". Alex and the others do the same kind of work here and it produces a number of wonderful listens. "Heartland" is by far my favorite, the flute in it is chill-invoking.

The sheer amount of talented composers who have made music for the many Elder Scrolls fan projects is truly astounding. But of all the great names on the list, there is none better than Fredrik Jonasson at both nailing Soule's style and composing so intricate and harmonious scores. All three of the tracks for this album feel like they were meant to have shipped with the game back in 2006.
You should put these in your oblivion music directory and enhance your time playing as God intended. Feix
